App Privacy Policy

Overview

This App Privacy Policy covers the PupBoard Android app. PupBoard is a dog walking and care tracker for dog owners and dog walkers. PupBoard has no accounts, no sign-in, and no app server of its own.

Data stored on your device

Everything you enter in PupBoard - dog profiles, photos, walks and GPS routes, feeding schedules, medications, potty logs, health notes, vet appointments, vaccination records, emergency contacts, document references, grooming routines, training notes, and expense records - is stored in a local database on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to this app data.

Location

If you use the walk tracker, PupBoard uses your device's location to draw your walking route and measure distance while a walk is active. Location data is processed and stored on your device as part of the saved walk. It is not sent to us or any PupBoard server.

Sharing and exports

Features like "Share emergency info," walk reports, daily updates, and .pupboard profile export files use Android sharing. App data leaves PupBoard only when you choose to share it, and only to the app or person you pick.

Advertising and consent

The free version of PupBoard may show banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may process data such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, coarse device information, and ad interaction data to serve, limit, personalize, and measure ads, depending on your settings and consent choices.

PupBoard uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request and manage ad privacy choices where required. If privacy options are required for your region or settings, PupBoard shows a Privacy choices entry in Settings so you can review or change those ad privacy choices.

You can also reset or delete your Android advertising ID and manage ad personalization in your device's Google settings. Learn more from Google's Privacy Policy, Google's advertising privacy information, and AdMob's policies and restrictions.

Data deletion

You can delete records inside the app at any time. Uninstalling PupBoard, or using Android's Clear storage option for PupBoard, permanently deletes the app's local data from your device. Because we do not hold a server copy, there is nothing for us to delete on a server.

Children

PupBoard is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this App Privacy Policy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
